Lock Box

Standard Shipping containers come with a set of barn doors that have 4 handles at one end of the container. The barn doors can be locked with a single locked applied to the first handle (or top handle) on the right side doors. This security is usually enough for most applications.

For containers that will be stored in remote areas, on job sites or areas that experience higher levels of crime, Secure Store offers a Lock Box option. Once installed on your container, it locks the two doors together and makes the lock virtually inaccessible to tools, thus offering you more protection.

Only a human hand with a key can fit under the solid-steel welded lock-box and access the lock.

Paint

Refresh the appearance of your new or used container by letting Secure Store paint your container with metal paint. Your entire container will receive a coat of paint on the outside and the interior walls will also be painted a neutral gray colour.

We have a wide range of fashionably trendy colours along with standard colours. Our spectrally measured online colour chart shows you the most frequently requested colours. For specific corporate and Pantone colours, we can custom mix to obtain the best representation of your colour.

Pleaase note that light colours(beige's and off-whites) and OFFICIAL safety colours (red, orange, yellow, blue) have a small additional charge applied as they require two coats of paint or the paint costs more.

Logos and Phone Numbers or
Full Graphic Wraps

It doesn't take long for a business to realize that our containers are the equivalent of a portable billboard. Painting your container in your corporate colour and placing your logo and phone number on it is one of the most affordable ways to get noticed and to make your phone ring,

If your looking for maximum impact, our graphics consultants can create a complete wrap for your container that includes images, messaging and full colour graphics. What a statement.!

Venting

All of our containers come standard with small air-vents to allow a minimal amount of air to flow through the container. These were sufficient when the container was originally filled to capacity with dry cargo for shipping.

When clients purchase our containers for longer term storage purposes and are not filling them to capacity, Secure Store strongly recommends this modification to allow for greater air-flow through the container.

Venting will reduce the amount of condensation that can occur in a container that is not filled to capacity.

We make these recommendations to protect the contents of your container from the moisture build-up that can occur.

Spray Insulation

Used primarily for our site offices and living quarters, Secure Store offers spray insulation for your container. By applying up to 4 inches of spray insulation throughout the container (roof, floor and walls), we are able to acheive an R28 value. We increase this R value by framing and adding additional batte insulation to the interior of the container, similar to many houses. External finishing (siding etc..) can then be installed.

A second situation where spray insulation is recommended (a thin 2 inch layer recommended) for a container is for the interior roof of a container being used for storage. Direct sun-light bouncing off the roof of the container can change the temperateure inside the container drastically. Applying spray insulation will reduce the amount of heat build-up and condensation dripping.

Roll-up Doors with

Wood Dividers or
Steel Dividers

Perhaps one of our most frequently requested options is steel roll-up doors used for creating compartments inside your 20' or 40' storage container. WE have three sizes availabe; 6', 8' and 10' doors. We can even install the 6' doors into the end of the container!

If you are a storage business that wants to expand or an individual that requires separate compartments, this option is a must.

Frequently combined with the roll-up doors is our option to create individual sections within the container for each compartment. Solid walls made from wood or steel can seal each internal compartment.

Steel Personnel Doors or other entry doors

Our full customization facilities have the ability to install a personnel door into your container. While our largest seller is our steel entry doors (insulated with or without a window) for security purposes, our team can install virtually any type of door (wood, aluminum, fibregalss, French, sliding etc..) into your container. Your preference of an entry door begins your journey into the personalization of your container.

Many clients that utilize their containers for storage will also install a seperate personnel door to allow for easier access to the whole container.

Windows

Secure Store will install windows into your container. Our standard window is 24 x 36 inches and can be installed anywhere on the container.

Working with our window supplier, we are able to provide you an assortment of colours and styles.

Hanging Shelves
and
Pipe Shelving

A common option seen for clients with storage applications, these affordable shelves allow you to store your items off the floor and on the shelves.

Sold initally as a set of 2 brackets, additional brackets can be purchased to extend the shelving. These shelving brackets hang from the internal J-hooks inside the container and require either 4 foot or 8 foot sections (optional) of wood to be placed on the brackets creating the shelves. See picture to left.

The pipe shelving is ready to go and requires no additional wood or other items to be fully functional.

Electrical-

Hydro

Our electricial department can install an Ontario Hydro approved electrical panel to allow for the electrification of your container. When we deliver the container to your site, an electrician connects it to the grid and you're ready to go!

This option is frequently combined with a complete framing, drywalling, insulation and the installation of light switches and power outlets inside your container. We commonly perform this task for our site offices and living residences. Your application may differ.

Need a simple solution for adding electricity to the inside of your container?

If you are looking for an easy and affordable way to add lights or electrical power to the inside of your container, our build professionals can add a simple access hole anywhere on your container.

Complete with a cover, this access hole allows you to run an extention cord into your container for electrical requirements. Best of all, we can make this modification for free with the purchase of your container!

Electrical -

Generator

Similar to above, our electricial department can install an Ontario Hydro approved electrical panel to allow for the electrification of your container. Instead of connecting to the electrical grid, a gas/diesel generator can be used to power the container.

This option is frequently combined with a complete framing, drywalling, insulation and the installation of light switches and power outlets inside your container. We commonly perform this task for our site offices and living residences. Your application may differ.

Please note that if you are planning on heating and cooling your electrified 20' container year round, your gas/diesel generator should be in the range of 6500W.

Solar and Wind

Secure Store is currently investigating a completely free standing "off the grid" living container where all heating, cooling, electrical and water is provided without connecting to services.

Solar power, wind power, water capture systems, sanitation, geo-thermal heating and other environmentally friendly solutions are being investigated.

Once your container has been electrified, the sky's the limit. Start thinking about the following:

Even though Secure Store can offer a complete finished container, most clients will have Secure Store create only the shell of their container. Not only does this keep the price down, it allows the client to choose their finishes and other decorative items.

Lighting

Secure Store offers cost effective flourescent lighting for our containers whether the application is storage, site office or living quarters. We will install decorative and designer lighting (selected by the client) at their request, but find many clients will do that themselves.

We offer the two standiard types of flourescent lighting.

Our standard double tube flourescents are more permanent and mounted to a finished ceiling and are commonly used in our site-offices and living quarters.

Our single tube flourescent lighting is considered temporary (which can be made permanent) and they are adhered to the steel ceiling of the container and plugged into an electrical outlet (generator, extension cord, electrified container. Our single tube lights can also be daisy chained together so that only a single plug will light up your entire container.

Security Bars

Secure Store offers the option of adding solid steel security bars over windows, access panels and any other protruding components (eg: air conditioner). These security bars will protect your assets and act as a deterrent for illegal entry.
